Unfinished Leading lines of literature, a chuggin', tuggin' boat Chomping through the paper like a very hungry goat Free, flowing, fiesty, figments; figity frenzy inside Metaphors are opening doors trying to stay alive Emotions eagerly overflowing, Niagra take good notes Crafty, cunning, chilling, brr! readers bring your coats This could be "the one", I say! masterpiece for sure! But then ------------------ Bon Appetite! |

To answer your question, the hidden Irony of the poem is that in fact it is finished. The poem is one that in fact is the state of some of my poems now. On my computer I have a folder of unfinished poems. I put them there untill I can make further progress and eventually finish them. I wrote this one out of frustration of my poems having good strong beginings but then I draw blanks as to the conclusions. I wrote "Unfinished" while trying to finish another poem. It was kinda like "Impromptu" I wrote it in five minutes. |
