Breathe through this empty hole, take a deep breath and look at these eyes. You have been betrayed yet again. Nothing ever goes the way you want. Selfish you... You thought you could get by. Just one last time. Peeking through the hole, wishing you were there. Hoping to get by on one last look. Saying things will be different this time. But, look at yourself now. Your eyes betray you. Your heart is shattered, lying on the ground. Waiting for him to come back to piece it together. Only to feel that pain once more. And you know it won't change, but you can't help yourself. He's left you weak and surrounded by guilt. Never again, you say? Well, here he comes again, crawling back. He doesn't deserve you, but you take him back. One last time. And look what you have left... |

I had to read this twice, it sounds very much like "Alice in Wonderland", peeking through the hole, but ends up as a lost life with no hope. Was this your intention of the poem? Welcome to Passions! |
