Fate went on with a solemn face; Only to learn of lifes deceit. The solemn fate still appears I knelt down in a private place For wondering about lifes complete Meaning, my eyes flooded with tears. Tears would only cloud my dreams. Emptiness finds it lonely way As blackness engulfs my space. In overwhelming dispair I scream; (As if screaming would save the day) Still, fate wears this solemn face. Perhaps a mime shares this face; Better to dream than to speak Even better yet, those dryless tears No sound, no emotion, just a trace Of a human being thats meak, Who faces fate with fear 98 - ------------------ Pam Smith |
