As I count the last few months of the year, I settle down at last, Waiting for the year two thousand To come and quickley pass. Why? you say, I'll tell you why, As soon as I've dodged The falling sky. When it's the year 2000, I'll do my daily chores, And then I'll walk to work, Looking for on coming horrors. I'll stop by the coffee shop, And I'll say hi to Jesus, And say "Man! it's been while!", And when I'm done work, I'll stop and have a tonic, While I stop and look For fast falling comets. I'll rush home to my suitor, To fix my computer, From the crash of it's Quality drive. Then I'll turn on the TV, Watch Beverly Hills, 90210, Then I'll look out the window, And watch the landing U.F.O. While all of this is going on, I sit back and listen, and wait, For the coming and passing, and shaking, Of a mild 8.0 earthquake. But now you ask, Why all the fuss? It's only A new millenium. Well I don't have time to answer that, I have to leave, my number's 820-0000, Get out of the house, before it's too late, Here comes and storming tornado! Here is a poem for all you Y2K nuts! ------------------ ~*JuLiEt*~ |
