The sky as waves billow a calm blue in the restless cool sky, a lake shimmering under small fire lights of the house across the lake. It is night, the moon walks, the sunburn burns at my back while darker and darker grows the sky, swallowed by the midnight masses. Fireworks erupt int he sky before the fourth of July, as searing memories roll back at me, and my head aches and aches for the useless wish things would last forever. The ducks sit on the grass not far off, as my day at summer camp is come to end, and eagerly I wish for more but the wind takes my wish as it runs by. It is about time for me to use the Purple Rain fireworks, to see it explode and sparkle colors in the air... I see the airplane flow with the cool breeze and my thoughts overpower my conscience. Fire Lake, Fire Lake, here I come, to walk around you and swim at night, as Betelguese and all the constellations shine this lunar night where moon remains dark. I wish to embrace the sky and fly free To lands too far away for mankind, Ancient deserts, ancient oceans... Just now I saw a shooting star up high falling fast. Nay, twas no firework, but a meteor, Something God tossed into the night To tell me he's watching and he loves me, as the doomed rock crashes into the earth. Aroud the Fire Lake, I come stepping in, and I embrace the dignity of the evening, for it is a dream come true, as around the Fire Lake I walk. As time races me ever on, and I struggle against its oppression, I remember forever my lonely days and I determine to repay the price with victory. While the wind runs, while I smile, knowing there is nothing more I can do inside, the price of indoors is paid outdoors where my mind longs to fly free. ------------------ Artur Hawkwing....
