Weed, speed, acid, alcohol. Jellied brain caused by cocaine.

Acid, grass, heroin, hash. Good time, bad trip, ashes to ash.

Acid, drugs, cyanide, slugs. Time to reflect, Death comes to collect.

Addict, user, pusher, abuser. Come to me LSD, now escape, set me free.

Quaaludes, blues, drastic interludes. Come and try, Death you can defy.

Cry, wheeze, sniffle, sneeze. Heroin tracks, cocaine plaques, before I break your mind will crack.

Whiskey, weed, wine, greed. Do as I say, I'll make you pay. Defy me and I'll make you bleed.

Weed, speed, acid, alcohol. No escape, eternal pain. Your soul I rape, your will I drain.

Without contradiction, I am Addiction.

I held my breath while reading...even the words can capture you. It's a scary world for those caught in its grip, both for the addict, and the innocents in the way.

Wow! I am impressed. You captured with unflinching accuracy the pain that addiction wroughts in the lives of those who use and/or abuse. Excellent work.

I really like this. Its fast paced and it sets a tone of destruction some how... Pefect for the tone of this piece. Great job!!!
