The bands they play up on the stage While the flag is flown up high The red, white, and loyal blue Is our nations greatest pride We celebrate the years that have passed And the years that are yet to come United States Free forever The Anthem forever sung Fireworks flown across the sky Happiness and pride displayed Wave our banners high and proudly As you watch the passing parade For the flag still remains As America's Pride All people join together All feelings set aside For we are the land Of the brave And of the free, And forever we will be ------------------ ~*JuLiEt*~ |

Excellent work here! Are you Canadian? If so, then I truly thank you for this poem, in keeping with an American tradition. We'll return the favor - name the Canadian holiday. |
