I enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard and entered basic training with D Co., 2/46 Inf Bt, Fort Knox, August 21, 1995. Due to one opinion, albiet a Colonel's, I was discharded. But still I try to serve this country best as I can. MED200 In battlegear I see my friends Marching down the road My pack is in my war chest I carry a heavier load The Army says I cannot train Or march or do PT The doctor said of me asthma But it's false, you see? The Army said, "Be all you can be!" And I ran that race But now it seems I cannot even Graduate this place And when my friends play Rambo Field training every day I'll pack my gear and head for home Alone upon my way Alicat 10/4/95 |

Sorry, Alicat! But it's good you still try to serve this country. The poem was really good! |
