Dust had gathered on my emotions I thought them shut away for good So afraid of being hurt again So afraid I'll be misunderstood So I closed my heart to humanity My thoughts are my own to keep Truly I have many passions Though I've buried them quite deep Then you came into my life Your love ran me straight through My feelings all in camouflage I could not hide from you You saw straight into my heart Your love bared my very soul Like a boulder off a cliffside Once I fell I lost control Overwhelmed with feelings I'm trying to make some sense All I know is I love you I stand before you with no defense You see me now maskless, naked And to my grateful surprise I find the courage to look at you I see you love me in your eyes ------------------ Steven Seaman A burden shared is a burden lightened A life shared is a life enriched [This message has been edited by sea_of_okc (edited 07-02-99).] |
