Earth began By the touch of God's hand Oceans parted to form the dry land God loves beauty, as do I He turned to the task Of creating the sky Sprinkled the stars In careless abandon Created galaxies from silken cobwebs Wrought with His own hands The liquid fire of the sun Carved out the moon From an angel's wish or two All the while Knowing Seeing Feeling How the moon's soft light Would be spiritual healing He captured the diamonds Of a million angel tears In a gauzy cocoon of whispers He painted the Earth With a fine sable brush Each color Shade Nuance Just but a hinting To what lies before On that glorious day When we enter Heaven's door Remember this well Fellow Earth dweller We are all but guests On this quirk of God's imagination Be gentle with her Our beautiful green Earth Cast your gaze upon the Sky Lift your face To feel the angel tears Let the moon kiss your skin at night Make a wish upon each star Take the joy in this life Open your mind God is in everything The Earth and the Sky |

Beautiful, not-so-simply beautiful. ------------------ Patience is a virtue, but virtue has never been one of my redeeming qualities. |
