The land of freedom
The land of snow
Canada stretches
From coast to coast

Across the great wide
Country dear,
The geese call out
for all to hear

From Newfoundland to
the great B.C
Hundreds of cultures
For all to see.

There's Vancouver
And Calgary,
And Winnipeg too
And don't forget Victoria
In the middle of the great big blue

I see Regina, Toronto,
And Halifax also,
And Ottawa, and St. Johns,
Newfoundland's Capital.

So for everyone who's planning
To come to this country
Remember your "abouts",
"eh"'s

O Canada
Is what we are
And forever free
We'll always be

I'm born and raised So. California, but both my parents hail from Ottawa. Mom still carries her green card some 35 year now. Some of my greatest memories are of summers spent in the Great White North. Your's is a beautiful country and you do it proud with this offering.

Great poem, if only more of us Americans would have the same patriotic feelings for our country as you do for yours. This country would be so much greater than it already is. I am in the military, U.S. Marines, so I see what most people really feel about our country in some respects. Know what I mean. It really saddens me. I think it just might come down one day, where everyone here will have the attitude, just don't know what you got till it's gone. Then it will be too late. Maintain what you got there and spread that to everyone else in the Great White North.
