Today was a wonderful time for me For I found a site that all can see Expressing my thoughts to be read Instead of them spinning in my head You can dream and hope and pray Anything you want to openly say Fantasies of which you may think Or real feelings that make you sing A hole-in-one, a 300 game or a grand slam Makes your heart so full like a dam Experiences in life teach you so much You could never imagine this as such Or share with others all that you feel Sitting down for that delicious meal Talking and expressing what is within you Whether you are happy or whether you are blue Poetry can come to some at the drop of a hat And others have trouble giving a love pat To pets or children or even adults They end up their lives with no results Share and love and give what you can do You will be happy and content when you're through In return you will be loved by others Whether it is a parent, sisters or brothers It is sad when they leave us and go to God We just place them in freshly turned sod The 4th of July is very special to me For I lost my brother whose name was Eddie. He was so young and full of always giving I only wish that he was here on earth living Enjoying the things we now have to do But no he's gone and his life is through But I know God is kind and watching over him And all the others that have gone like Jim, Peter, Michael, or whatever their names Forever I will burn a candle and watch the flames Remembering our loved ones forever and a day Let us bend down for a minute and pray Take care of us all and protect us as you can We make mistakes but remember we are only human! |

What a wonderful poem. Sorry about your loss. I'm sure he would be proud to call you his brother. |
