A creature of habit, I'm not used to change... Your light used to surround me, But then it slowly faded away Until nothing but darkness Was familiar to me. I try to go on And I know in time I will... But the journey to forget Is one I will not survive. A part of me you became... And a part of me you will remain. There are times I see you... The firefly in the night. But you never stay long... And I have to accept That you never will again. Slowly, I am... I look to the moon, The only light left... And she tells me she loves me, That I will be alright. A life without you... Without my friend... Maybe you'll come back, But maybe then I'll be gone. |
