Divorcing A Friend Twisted words among people we trust endlessly leaping forward creating dust. Cherish this, a fool I was once, but never again shall I be your dunce. You washed the walls with my soul, and left with me a gapping hole. Blind corners drive your ambitions leaving you blissfully lost, creating nasty dispositions. I failed to color in the lines you traced for me, so now my volcanic anger is all you see. I saw in you a beautiful portrait of a friend, but no longer can my army of feelings continue to defend. I traveled through your destructive journey, thankful now that divorcing a friend requires no attorney. |

good lines...good lines... I particularly enjoy that last stanza quite a bit... bravo. -Christina ------------------ And I thought: this is how poetry is born. It comes from invisible heights, it is secret and dark in its origins, solitary and fragrant, and like the river it will assimilate whatever falls in its current; it will seek a route between the mountains, and its crystalline song will ripple through the meadows."- Pablo Neruda |

Christina is right. The last stanza is a killer! I hope I'm always on your good side. |
