* Realism speaks in a subtle tone. Mine ears are harkened to its call. "Anon fair child! Wilst thou go with me?" Mild wind fancies reconciliation and plays with locks of my hair. Trees stand erect above me. All is Mute. ........ What is that I hear? Do you hear the sunlight fall upon the iridescent leaves? "Run child! Deep into the trees. Wait there for me! I'll arrive presently!" Night secludes mine eyes. I am covered in a black mist...speak not, for he will find you. Let him search, for I am gone, Swallowed by darkness.* ------------------ ~ Alysia* |

We all gladly welcome you to our fold I personally like your style - Your use of archaic language will surely find some followers here - and your message is delivered quite adeptly through your repeated use of personification... I like it... Do make yourself comfy here ------------------ Nan's Morsels netpoets.net/nan/index.html [This message has been edited by Nan (edited 06-26-99).] |

I like the style and the content of your poem! Feels as though I should read it whilst listening to harpsicord music! Welcome to the group (the family really). I look forward to more from you. |

yes, I concur- this is a lovely show of writing... something utterly timeless about it...I can almost imagine the faery queen and her followers hiding in the trees... even if that wasn't your intention -C ------------------ And I thought: this is how poetry is born. It comes from invisible heights, it is secret and dark in its origins, solitary and fragrant, and like the river it will assimilate whatever falls in its current; it will seek a route between the mountains, and its crystalline song will ripple through the meadows."- Pablo Neruda |

Christina, Fabulous thought. Even though I never even imagined such life living in my poem, now as I read it again, it does exist. Fairies are so magical and hidden, that it almost takes my poem to a deeper forest of imagination and thought. Thanks for opening my eyes to that! ------------------ ~ Alysia* |
