I wrote this for a friend who lost his mother _________________________________________ Looking through the old storybook remembering the stories she told Of kings of old and knights so bold and the search for treasures of gold Pages yellow and worn through time but the magic will never die In my heart my mothers' sweet singing covers my questions of why Storybook magic keeps my mother alive Storybook magic dries the tears I've cried Storybook magic you're my secret key Storybook magic keeps her here with me This house was never so cold and bare you could feel its love for miles That warming magic from a special woman she could heal your heart with a smile I never thought she'd leave so soon disappearing from our lives But all the stories that she told that little magic keeps her alive ------------------ does anybody know does anybody care what are the words we're attempting to share chris |

Oh Chris---what a wonderful theme! As a children's librarian it is amazing how often adults search for that one book that was their favorite as a child...recapturing the closeness that was felt when it was read to them by someone that they loved. I hope you don't mind if I try my own hand at something along the same line.... |

Wintersurfer- go for it! I don't believe there can ever be enough written words for any subject. |

Awww... so sad, but you captured the emotions and feelings so eloquently! Very good! ------------------ Shannon D. Montgomery ("Krystal") |
