Out on the net I have a home (And I think you all will agree) A place you can read or post a poem (A most perfect place for me!) You can comment or you can just roam (I'd like some publicity!) I have there many a roommate (We're a diversified group) With far more love than there is hate (And don't tell me I'm full of poop!) I know sometimes my rhymes aren't great (My God, to what levels I'll stoop!) Some of the poems are, well, pretty bad (And some are extremely good) Some are quite funny and some so sad (If you cry you probably should) For every author I am glad (I'd hug you all if I could!) All of us write and we'll never quit (Because our poetry we hold dear) Of all the poems I have seen writ (I am including my own, I fear) The best are by Passion's laureate By the one known as Balladeer ------------------ Steven Seaman A burden shared is a burden lightened A life shared is a life enriched |

Hey, sea! It's a wonderful tribute and I appreciate it very much! You are so right. It is a wonderful group and a great outlet for many of us. Some of our poems may not be the greatest but....they're our poems. We all sit down with a blank piece of paper ready to splash out emotions all over it. And, if you're true to your craft and true to yourself, the poem cannot be bad because it's yours. Thanks for honoring me and don't ever sell yourself short. You're better than you think! |

I enjoyed reading this very much. And you are right. Sometimes I just make up the poem right on the internet. I don't even write it on paper. And I enjoy reading and responding to other people's poems. Because reading them make's me feel not so bad about my own life. It was a great tribute, and I salute you. ------------------ Luke Cakalic |

Any man that can rhyme poop with stoop is ok in my book! After years of searching I found a home weary poetic's heart never more will roam. I give you my words from an open soul and take your love to make me whole! Thank you! You're poem was just what I needed today! (the 8 hour job that pays my internet bill was getting to me!) |
