Ya know I love Barbecue, And I'd guess so do you, And my favorite's down in Ala-bam, Pork or beef or even ham. Our secretary loves it too, She tries all kinds of barbecue, Every day when lunch hour comes, Off for Barbecue she runs. Now lunch hour only lasts an hour, That's plenty of time for a pig devoured, Seems she takes much more than that, Lunch is now an hour and 'ahalf. Now yesterday she left at noon, Before to long was half past two, 'Round nearly three she came back in, So we asked her where'd she been? "Good grief gal, where ya been? After barbecue again? Where'd ya eat? Was it Tibet? I ain't tried that smoked Yak yet?" [This message has been edited by Toerag (edited 08-31-99).] |

Well it's a helluva long haul to Alabama for lunch! LOL. But the barbecue is worth the trip. *G* However, I think I'll settle for the pork and beef and leave the yak to your secretary. *G* Great poem, sweets! |

Most people in the work force hate to work, I'm sure you can relate-- For some reason they take a break between their breaks, for goodness sake! Each day they come to visit me while I am working-- can't they see? I try my best to not look up, to see them clutch their coffee cup. Their lunch breaks are two hours, too-- Are you sure that I don't work with you? (cool poem, toerag.... thanks for letting me join in ... oh you didn't let me? geez...I'm sorry... LOL.... seriously, this was fun!) -dp [This message has been edited by doreen peri (edited 08-31-99).] [This message has been edited by doreen peri (edited 08-31-99).] |

Wow! Two for the price of one ... Toe, begrudge the poor secretary not her lunch hour (or two) ... there is an art to fetching barbeque ... Doreen, I loved that last couplet ... hee hee "You sure that I don't work with you?" Personally, I do nothing for my money, and enjoy it very muchly. Looking busy is also an underappreciated skill! ------------------ "Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morierus" (Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die.") |

There's no good barbecue where I live now...'scuse me, gotta go...I'm drooling.... ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
