Well I awoke from dreams of distress To find her near again. My nocturnal lover, my enchantress, My Goddess of the pen. Her voice, the wind calling, So illuminated this dark soul. My following or falling, Refuted all conscious control. Passion stemming from her vine, My quest from her allure. She opened up her soul to mine, That I might feel secure. She held me within tender arms, A 3 a.m. sun warm on my face. Mystified by her lovely charms, I nearly cried in her embrace. She waved her hand over my eyes, And whisked me off to dream. Two children playing ‘neath blue skies, The clouds were of whipped cream. The magic of her playground, Whispering promises worth keeping. Alas, the time unwound, I woke from the soundest sleeping. She is a very seductive mistress, is she not? ------------------ Shall I indulge in flights of fancy hampered by clipped wings? DreamEvil© |

Michael, I've had dreams like that and I think I wrote it in a poem. Like the time my roof leaked on my blanket and I slept through a wet whim. Loved the poem nice job. |

Beautiful ... this has a quiet power ... it shimmers with the gossamer stuff of dreams ... ------------------ "Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morierus" (Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die.") |

Sometimes she makes me want to weep Propelled to write, I long to sleep! Instead of a lover's willing arms I'm subject to her teasing charms Yet one frustration's not diminished The muse, too, leaves before I'm finished! Great poem, Michael! |

Michael..... I long for dreams such as these... you write them so beautifully that it's easy to dream of it all while wide awake. ![]() ------------------ ~onevoice~ "She looked at her life like lines, never-ending, constantly forming, reforming and bending." |

Oh, I really like this! Such a gentle, loving (somewhat maternal) muse you have envisioned. Quite beautiful. |
