I would have loved to watch forever,
As the sun kissed the sky goodnight,
Your brilliant eyes so peaacful,
Still you held me tight.

I would have loved to stay a lifetime,
Lost in your embrace,
Such a contented look,
As my hand brushed lightly across your face.

I would have loved to tell you,
That your all i'll ever need,
Instead, i left the silence,
And pulled you closer to me.

I would have love to wake up,
To your smile i've grown to love,
To the softness of your kisses,
I find myself dreaming of.

I would have loved to lie forever,
Listening to your heartbeat,
Feeling the softness of your skin,
Gently pressed agianst me.

I would have loved to fall asleep,
Deep inside your arms,
To be content with everything,
But it seemed so hard.

I only wanted to watch you,
Never miss a moment,
Tell you that i love you,
Even though i know, you know it.

I only wanted to feel you,
So happy and content with me,
I couldnt close my eyes,
And give up that cherished memory.

I only wanted to tell you,
Every reason why,
But i couldnt stand to wake you,
So i whispered, "i love you,"and "goodbye."
