In stillness of impending dawn, ...I rise forth from my slumber, Awakened by the silence, ...No thoughts to mind encumber. I stand upon the edge of time, ...twixt darkness and the light, Crystalline reality, ...twixt morning and the night. Breathing in the fragrant scent, ...With freshly opened eyes, I float upon the winds above, ...Gaze down from cloudless skies. I see such beauty spread below, ...I hear the siren's song, Touch the beauty of the rose, ...I capture all I long. For at my feet the world does lie, ...Its portals opened wide, Elysian delights unfold, ...As now I walk inside. Then from the east, the rising sun, ...As quiet slips away, All awaken to earth's bustle, ...And so begins my day. [This message has been edited by Tim (edited 08-25-99).] |

wow...beautiful! I'm afraid the only thing I see at that time of the morning is a grouchy face in the mirror...mine! It's still dark when I leave for work...maybe Saturday I will have to try your way! ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |

Lovely poem Tim. Daybreak, when the sun slowly ascends and casts such breathtaking shades of color upon the earth, is one of my favorite times. You captured it nicely. Thanks |

Watching the dawn - over the Atlantic Ocean - there's nothing like it - except maybe watching a sunset over the Pacific???? |
