Dan the one eyed man drove his van (full of bran) to Pakistan without a plan to prove he can cause cousin stan had said that dan was an "also ran" Steve did not believe he saw dan leave his van did weave on new years eve would dan achieve with heart on sleeve and overcome his major peeve or would old steve of dan bereave? said Mabel fist on table its no fable to pakistan my dan is able shed his label like clark gable he will run them like a cable Captain Grode said it snowed was no traction on the road which dan had goed he never slowed hit a tree; made car explode record showed high winds blowed dan was dead before he knowed Mabel, Steve & Cousin Stan each had different thoughts of dan some had said 'he never can' ...since he was a one eyed man but evermore when they ate bran or saw a grey-green panel van they bowed their heads, their eyes did scan to the orange jerry can where cremated remains of dan stood upon the tv stand ------------------ Poetic Wheelbarrow http://www.stormloader.com/poetwheel/den.html ICQ: 44370408 |

Kind of bizarre, but a down-to-earth, very real, sadly very common story. And excellent rhyme. ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." |

This is great, Wheel. Imagination in full swing! I love it! Hey, check out Case of the Five and Dimer Rhymer I posted while you were gone. Two birds with one shot! They're back up to full strength now, though. Watch your back! |

I like the poetwheel style! Cool poem. It was odd, but sad and that funky rhyme scheme works great. ~m~ |

Thanks guys. For those of you who managed to find sadness in my one-eyed-bran-van saga I say this: there was not a shred of meaning in this silly poem. Just a bunch of rhyme. Thanks! I'll go read 5 & dime now... PW ------------------ Poetic Wheelbarrow http://www.stormloader.com/poetwheel/den.html ICQ: 44370408 |

And the title is for another poem, right? ------------------ Sunshine Words will always express our feelings true. ~~~ KRJ Look, then, into thine heart, and write ~~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow |
