In Ireland I've kissed the Blarney stone,
then lay down in fields of four-leaf clover.
I've even sat upon the Throne of Scone,
thought about luck and mulled it over.

Horseshoes have always been over my door,
nailed upside-down so the luck wont spill out.
To bring me luck I've done all that and more,
it seems bad luck is all I know about.

Broken mirrors and the blackest of cats,
are the things that fracture my soul each day.
Like the plague carried by the fleas on rats,
I'm surrounded by anguish and decay.

I've never truly believed in good luck,
until I found the forum here you see.
Though my name and honor are smeared with muck,
here amongst friends I can truly be me.

This truly is a wonderful place to be, huh? Well said, and you are definately among friends.

Very well said, Dream! And I love the Irish theme! After all, Erin-Go-Braugh!

Dream...very nicely said. Isn't it wonderful when you can be with people and truly be yourself and accepted for that?

The poem is good, but let's get to the content! Am I to understand that you acknowledge that you consider it good your good fortune to have found us! Congratulations! Now you truly are a member of the family! I've never heard to actually express this sentiment before; I thought you could take us or leave us! Smiling as I write this, I want to say: Scott, welcome to the family!

Dream,
Except for the style you remind me of Poe.
Always in a midnight weary
Always in a mood of dreary.
Always nooding but not napping
Always looking ever tapping
Always writing and exciting.
I wish you'd close that chapter door
And smile at us forever more.

I agree that this is a great place to be. This one came from a fit of uninspired boredom, meaning I have no idea where it came from.

Well, a dear friend of mine always says "There's no such thing as luck." I suppose that leaves it up to fate that we've all been blessed enough to find this family. Exellent work, Dream!!

They say there really is no such thing as luck! Your name I don't think is smeared. But here you are around friends, and I am glad you feel you can be you!!! For if they don't accept you as you, they really aren't friends to begin with are they?
