The Right Thing to Do© 1998 Genea Parker When we met I didn’t think Things would ever go this far. I knew about your commitments And I know what they still are. Your priority is your family And will be till you die. I understand this, and yet Our situation makes me cry. I never knew it would be so hard, To walk away from you. But I know in my heart of hearts That it’s the right thing to do. I release you like a butterfly With the need to fly away, And hope that you’ll find me again On another summer day. ------------------ Thanks for taking the time to read. Comments welcome! :-) |
