I am so small - in this big house
surrounded, yet alone...
Withdrawn from everyone I love
This house just isn't home.

Each night I come to Passions room
To greet, and laugh, & mingle -
A fantasy escape from life
It sucks to be so single....

So many of you in this room
Have someone else to love you -
You share your love through poems of -
The ecstasy between you....

There's Lorelei, and LngJhnAg -
Dear Eric with sweet Izzy...
The poems written 'bout Sea's Lady -
Sure do make me dizzy......(sigh)

So here I sit & read your words
If only they were mine....
You ladies sure have no idea -
Your men - - they're quite sublime !!

To see two poets, so in love -
It does this cold heart good...
Why I can't find a love like that -
I've never understood.........

**********************************************************
Sorry for the pity-party guys, just reading all the beautiful poetry in here, and it makes me envy all the couples that write for/about eachother!!

To PFF,
Your poem was a masterpiece. Why someone hasn't caught you is a mystery to me.

poetFemmeFatale,

Your day will come
when the pitter patter
of raindrops
will sound like
your loves beating heart.
When in a cage it seems,
your love will set you free.
When being together,
the heat of your passions
will melt the falling snow.
Your love,
is waiting around the corner
you just have'nt noticed yet.

I know how you feel. You're not the only one - and for you someone will come some day. And in the meantime you write beautiful poems.

It's a crime against nature for you to be alone, Femme. Are men dumb? (uh, don't answer that, please)

Thank you for your sweet comments about "our" men...I count my blessings for my husband, and the tender side of him, however, there is a side that I'd give ya from time to time..LOL...its a long story how we came to be..perhaps some day I'll get LJA to write a poem about it!

pFF, i'm single too and lead a happy life...a man in life would be nice, but is not a requirement to feel complete...every now and then i feel like you, though i am mostly contend...i don't know your personal situation, but just think of all the folks who are in relationships and would rather be single...they envy our freedom...but enough of my rambling

I am deeply honoured to be immortalised in such a beautiful poem. Love is one of those things that just "happens", often when you least expect it, so keep smiling and keep hoping *8)

My dear little Poet Femme Fatale,
You really are a knowledgeable gal.
You've finally said what we men know,
No woman's complete without a man in tow.

And so I say, to ease your woes,
There's lots of men whom you can know.
Just throw to the wind your sense of class,
And you'll have yourself a man at last.

I know you want somebody sweet,
But choose a man (we can't be beat).
For when your race is finally through,
Don't you want heard said, "Was it good for you?"

I enjoyed your poem! Perhaps we should have a 'friendship forum' where singles can mingle and meet! Tell me what qualities you're looking for.....beside being a poet....... and being able to handle that "Adult Forum" side of you...hmmmmmm methinks he better be in really good shape! I believe that most of the men that post here are spoken for.. if you find one, please ask if he has an aged grandpa for me!

Hey Femme,

Keep your head up. Alot of guys are just little boys wearing men's pants and sometimes talk like a man. Yet, they are lil boys just the same. Patience is a virtue that is sweeter when the joy of having your innermost longing fullfilled by the most wonderful being ever created. The one created for you. Don't long too much and let your judgement be clouded. I would hate to see the treasure of you traded for just a bowl of soup. (jacob & esau)

Hey, hey ,hey Poet Fatale, I have three boyfriends, and I'm willing to share with such a fine poet sister, whose words I admire. The secret to love: friendship, respect, and passion.

Hey, I'm gonna cry... PFF... I have a feeling that when you are searching for love, you'll never find it. It is when you stop searching and just start to enjoy life, that love finds YOU! I know (speaking personally!) that there is nothing about you that wouldn't make any man in here (single or not!) quiver and shake in his slippers! I ENVY the man who charms and woos himself into your heart forever!
luv ya G.
Chris
