I think her name was Mary I think her name was Jane I think that either way It still would be the same I saw her every day Hoping to catch her eye I had so much to say I kept on walking by Her eye would never turn As I would often try Every time I would learn The old pathetic lie Saying she looks for him I'd tell her now today If I could just find them The words I cannot say The old pathetic lie That I'd tell her today I keep on walking by The words I cannot say The words I cannot say I see them in her eyes Looking the other way Her sympathetic lies |
