Reality vs. Fantasy... who wins? |

A simple late night conversation on the computer between two friends. What started out quite innocently is not how this story ends. You shared your common interests your dreams and future plan. Then all your inner heartache this is how it all began. Each time your late night rendezvous grew longer and more intense. And as you share your soul with them you start to let down your defense. You see there were some boundaries set when first you talked that night. You told him you were married he said it was all right. As conversations lengthened and feelings bloomed and grew. Your "hello’s" turned to "hi babe" your "good-bye’s" to "I love you." You see its so much easier to tell of thoughts and fears. When the someone that your telling with a *click*.. just disappears. You build in mind this perfect man the answer to your dreams. But reality is real you see, fantasy is never what it seems. You start to criticize your spouse and complain he never talks. There used to be a time you say when he took you for long walks. "He never brings me flowers or takes me out to dine." You think he should spend hours with you, but its you who has no time. Your online tells you stories of love and candlelight. Of long walks by the water on romantic star lit nights. Now it seems your all caught up with the new love of your life. Little do you know my dear, he has four kids and a wife. And as you sit and type all night and your spouse lies alone in bed. And your marriage slowly fades away just heed these words I’ve said. That loving can be a wonderful thing whether in person or on the net. Just remember as you kiss your monitor goodnight, you deserve just what you get. Lucie, this is excellent. I'm sure many people can relate to this scenario. Well done. In South America, a monitor is a type of lizard. |
