Today I leave for awhile, I'll miss this place so much, All of you have been so kind to me, And patient with my mischief and such. I have a little "thinggie" They're cutting out of my head, No Balladeer, not my brain, It's been a long time dead. I'm not asking for sympathy, Rather keep me in your prayers, They're going up through my middle ear, To see if there's a brain up there. Now I'm quite healthy physically, Should easily the surgery endure, You already know 'bout me mentally, and for that there is no cure. It could leave me totally deaf, Or a "stroke-like" facial impairment, Why if it leaves me with a permanent wink, I could be charged frequently with sexual harassment? Now it could also leave me with, Slurred speech or maybe some dizziness, This would not be terribly noticeable, At the bar where I conduct "drinking" business. It could possibly have one other result, A permanent rock hard erection, My girlfriend wants the surgery done, Immediately if there is no objection. Seriously though, if you have the chance, Tell God what a wonderful guy I am, Tell him I'm sweet and ever so kind, And that I'm definately his biggest fan! |

Toerag: You know my prayers for you are unceasing.... and my thoughts, wishes, hopes, and love are with you... even if I can't deliver these smooches in person. *S* Wonderful poem, sweetie... I should have known you'd leave for surgery with style. *S* But I'm quite puzzled.... you didn't tell ME about that "one other result!" LOL. May God bless the surgeon with a sure and steady hand... and bless you with a rapid and full recovery. Hurry back, my love. |

So they're gonna try to find your brain. If they do it right, there'll be no pain But, if they don't, what agony You'll feel from that colonoscophy!!! Toe, I'm responding with humor 'cause I know that's what you want but, deep down, I'm with you all the way and I wish you the best care and a speedy recovery to get back here to be a thorn in my side as quick as you can. My prayers are with you...I haven't had one answered since '62 but I keep trying. Be well, friend. |

Toe I hope everything goes fine and your back writing and posting soon, this is a poem I wrote and posted a couple of days ago ( guess you missed it ). The idea is you take the first letter of each line and it spells something out, in this case it happens to be someone I admire greatly. To…. Who The poet king with sharp refrains Only some of which belong in drains Edifies in words well placed Reflecting thoughts we all have faced And painting laughter with his pen Gives cause to smile to lesser men ( tell us about the nurses when you get back !) |

Craig: It is indeed fantastic.... and as I told Toe, I enjoyed your poem when I read it a few days ago... and thought of Toe immediately because I do think of him as the poet king and the phrase "painting laughter with his pen" describes him so well. But I must have been really blonde that day.... I didn't notice that it was an acrostic! LOL Toerag: Yore a purty fine feller yoreself! *G* |

Toerag, i am with Craig, regarding the nurses...i'm sure they'll either discharge you real soon because their bottoms are sore from your pinching, or else they won't let you go, you charmer  So, Toerag, take it easy, or any other way you can get it...good luck to you ! |
