Guile in a Vile While wondering through a field of words I picked thee a bouquet. I was guided by a flock of birds. In mornings light display. It's there I plucked some fertile turn Just a sprite of humor. A thistle of delicate fern Green for early bloomer. I added too some blue of dawn And just a little pink I wrapped it in the mist of morn And set inside a wink. I grant it is a wild bouquet It was meant to bring a smile I hope you take it as repay And will store it for awhile. Place it in the sun not cold and Press it in a book when old. |
