No Refunds or Exchanges No refunds or exchanges, it says on your receipt You read it over again and again, aloud you repeat. How can this be? I'm not sure I want it. Maybe another size. I paid the high cost of what I purchased, I didn't realize I'm stuck with my life as I know it, as it was the only one. Now I have to live with what I have, with all that I have done. Might not be my color, my size, my style, but I can make it good. Of course I wish I could exchange for something stronger if I could. Maybe something with a tighter weave, higher neck, better cut, maybe a tummy control there in the panel, looking like I don't have a gut! |

Oh Elvira, this poem is the COMPLETE opposite of myself... I'm very happy and content with my life, and with ME. Haven't always been, but as I age (gracefully), I learn to like myself more and more. But, I bet others that read my poem will sit and think about whether their life is as bad as they think...and to let them know that other people wouldn't mind exchanging or changing how theirs has been or turned out. Not all poems should be about the writer... or at least I don't think they should be. My life fits me fine... and the showing of the gut is a metaphor for me being so "open" of myself, my feelings and my life. I've been told I'm too vulnerable sometimes by being "open" about myself. I'm glad you liked my poem! |
