I've been thoroughly aggravated
By the highly overrated
Pompous attitudes of fools
Who sit smirking with their rules.
Not for a moment do they shirk
The chance to belittle another's work.
It's obvious - kindness, compassion
Simply aren't the current fashion.
I once aspired to reach their heights
But I like my conscience clear at nights.
Slaughter will not be my way.
How many people did you hurt today?

Very thought provoking! I hope no one is being belittled here, or hurt by the words of others.

deVine One: Thank you for those kind words! *S*

I'm anxious for home, and my own bed
So that dreams, not words, can dance in my head
I'm tired of not sleeping all through the night
Pillow, not pencil, I long to hold tight!
