You were my first love. We met at a party, On All Hallows Eve. You crashed it with my cousin and some friends. We played spin the bottle and danced. You asked if I wanted to walk out to the barn? I said, "Sure!" You had a whole other idea, But all you got was a walk out to the barn! So you asked if you could take me out sometime? I told you you'd have to ask my mom. I introduced you..... You were 21 and I was 15..... Mom said it was fine..... I was dumbfounded! But within six months (by then I was 16), Mom had decided you were too old for me; And that wasn't cool at all. You and I had already discussed our future together. But Mom insisted, she was going to keep us apart; Even if she had to have you thrown in jail to do it. So you and I talked and then I cried. We both knew you had to go away. You looked at me and said, "You'll be 18 in 2 years, right? I'll see you in 2 years!" Then you kissed me and were gone. All those night I dreamed of you, I could feel your hands on me and taste your kisses. Then I'd wake up and miss you that much more. Those 2 years dragged by. Then one afternoon, the phone rang. I answered and it was you: "I told you I'd come back, I'm about 5 minutes away from you. I'll be right there, I've missed you so much!" And here we are, My Love, 29 years later. Thank you for that. I'm almost 17. The guy I really like is 22. I know my parents would never aprove, so we've kept our relationship strictly as friends. When I turn 18, I am going to travel back to see him. Until then, I'm just waiting.
