From Roof to Bed Once while in bed in slumber, Peaceful and past encumber, I woke to a rude invite, To sounds of the rain at night. I turned away, in half wake, From a dream now half opaque, Listening to the strident sound, Raging echoes on the ground. The air heavy, moist and full Smelt to me, of wet lambs wool. But I ignored this rank bore Closed my eyes in sleep once more. Rain had leaked from roof to bed And wet warmed, my woolen spread. And though I lay in candor arms, My sleep had not lost its charms. When the sun did finally show, I was smiling, wet head to toe. For sleeping woolen wet it seems, Stimulates the sexiest dreams. |

That warranted a chuckle. More I will not say. Nicely done. |

Good for you Lady E., I just wasn't prepared to go there. There was this whole wool / sheep / sleep thing that I just wasn't willing to touch either. Anybody know the way out of the gutter? |

Just because you wake with wrinkled skin Doesn't mean it's wet, my friend. Good show, Sy |

Very nice...somehow you made this unpleasant experience seem very inviting! Talent, man! ------------------ - poet FemmeFatale "The strongest man in the world is he who stands most alone..." Henrik Ibsen (1826-1906) Norwegian dramatist lyric poet |

Wonderful description of being woken by something you would rather ignore, with a very funny twist - I loved it. |

Yo! Suthern... I'll grant you, the gutter can be a fun place to slug around in but, sometimes you have to climb the moral high-ground so you can have the fun of rolling back down the hill. That, and I understand you can get a pretty good view of Toe's graves from there. Sy: Sorry for mucking up your area with this stuff. |
