I remember when first I felt His love.
Revelation was just not on my mind.
It truly hit like a bolt from above.
To an empty life I had been resigned.

Exposed to Him was every nagging doubt.
He loved me despite my hatred and sin.
My feelings of despair were washed right out.
I knew that I would not be alone again.

I did not rail against the coming Light.
When He touched my heart I began to weep.
I cried for what I had lost to the Night.
He touched my heart and my fears went to sleep.

Now I know He walks by my side unseen.
He is Jesus, the blessed Nazarene.

Fantastic ... Jesus has a way of calming fear, doesn't he? Good one, DE.

Dream, I am in awe. Once again, you've made me a poet without words. Marvelous work, love, and go on embracing that light and let it shine.

I hadn't realized there was any demand at all for spiritual poetry.

Perhaps I will submit this one to the main site, it seems to be more than popular. I don't think that popularity is why I should write though. Like most of my stuff, this one flowed easily. Incontrast, my next piece was very difficult to write.

Thank you for the support of this piece, it means much.
