You always did have Such pretty things to say; But like feathers on the wind, They only blew away. And you always did have The most tender, caring touch; But your coldness tells me You couldn't have cared that much. You always did have Such warm and thoughtful eyes; I guess it doesn't matter When all they hid were lies. And you always did have Such soft and shining hair; But it's such a shame That you were never there. You always did have Comfort and reassurance to give; But now you don't even care Whether I die or I live.
