Remebering the time we shared Leaves my broken heart impaired Why did I fall for this cruel joke The answer fills my mind with haze and smoke You were the one baring such pain It slowly wore off to be my gain I thought I could leave it all behind me But the evidence in my eyes will only remind me You only had to ask and I obeyed I was sure you could make the pain begin to fade I swallow the anger deep inside And wipe away the sadness from my eyes I thought this feeling could leap from my heart And fall into the arms of a brand new start You never caught it as it kept going down Till there was nothing left to turn us around Things can never be the same Your unruly ways I could not tame Its done now and time to move on Don't let the days slip past you when I'm gone |
