Oh my last innocent, my little baby girl How can I save you from the truth of this world? How can I save you from feeling strife? How can I save you from fearing all in life? Baby girl, this world is ready to attack; to tear you to pieces when you turn your back So how can I keep you from shedding tears? Tell me how can I dissipate all your fears? Baby I want you to always be pure Cause once this world's got you there ain't no cure I wish I could fix everything for you my baby But the life you're just starting is bound to be crazy Oh how I wish I could take all the bad away! How I wish I could give you only the sunniest of days! But I can't, so stay innocent, my baby girl Cause there's no way to save you from the truth of this world |

I think this one is really sweet. That parental fear of such a fragile little life growing up in all the crazy stuff that happens today. Nice job, Emmy! |

Having two daughters of my own, I can truly understand the sentiment behind you words. Well spoken and from the heart. |
