I'm letting you slip run like ocean water between my frozen fingers you fall to the ground and the earth absorbs your wetness I dig my fingers into your chest to fertilize the soil that is your heart You breathe, you can't stop breathing and I linger for I know that this moment like all others will pass and I will be left to remember when I let you go because I loved you too damn much |
