I pass the café where I ate with you And turn back as I hear your voice. I walk along the streets and remember Your laughter through surrounding noise. I sit in my room and see you as though You were still here talking with me, And the comfort and joy your presence gives Keeps me from feeling so lonely. I wake in the bed where I wanted to share The love that you helped me find, And through the day you feel so near It’s hard to believe you’re just in my mind. I know that I have no real claim on you, Still I’m grateful for every day The ghosts from your visit linger with me. It makes you seem less far away. |

Ghosts: the smell of my wife's perfume in a pillow; a long strand of red hair upon my clothes; my daughter's hair clip in my pocket; crayon scribbles on the wall... They're with me where ever I go. Nice poem suthern. Thanks for sharing. |

Suthern and (Toe)...if destiny has it that that that ghost become reality, I wish you all the happiness and love that LJA and I have found...if not, then your memories are still beautiful and will live forever in your heart. Suthern, beautiful!! |
