Whatever happened to Marilyn Monroe?

Who was this special girl.
Her name was Norma Jean.
They told her come over here with us.
Will put you on the big screen.

By the way will have to change your name.
Norma Jean don't really fit.
How about Marilyn Monroe if you don't mind
a bit?

If were to make you a big star.
Marilyn Monroe will take you far.

They put her on the big screen.
And she's adored by all her fans.
The president starts calling,so off with
him she ran.

Seems the mob would like a piece of here
to.
So they are also calling.
It was only a matter of time before she
started falling.

She carries secrets between the two.
Never really knowing the damage it could do.
Did she really know she was breaking all the
rules?
Little did she know she was just their heart
of fools.

All they really did was use her.
Then toss her aside.
So they could cover up their dirty little
lies.

Soon the depression has her in it's deadly
web.
She grabs the pill bottle that lays upon her
bed.

She grabs a glass of water.
That's sitting on her desk.
Not ever really knowing what will become of
this big mess.

She slips away into the night.
With no more depression she will have to
fight.

So whatever happened to the lovely Marilyn
Monroe?
It's something I guess will never know.

So here it is,I leave it up to you.
But when you look at it more closely.
You'll have an opinion to.

Ah, well done! Truely, I'm sitting here listening to Elton's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" CD and I see this posting. Had to read it, glad I did. Thanks for sharing.
