He comes to me When I least expect I am not looking for him My life felt complete Soon I find what was missing All of a sudden my life is upside down I try diligently to ignore To NOT think of this man The harder I try The more I think of him He is everywhere He doesnt know I have learned to love Up close and at a distance Most of all I have learned to love And not expect anything back Just to give Knowing I am better for having loved at all Love Letting go Allowing things to be free Not grasping to hold Just letting be Letting things take their own course This love is different It is full of joy Laced with pain It captures the heart Torments the soul I am better for having known this love Tears Laughter Misunderstandings Insights Sharing Soul-mate 8/3/1999 BDV Published with permission for my friend, BDV. |
