We gained serenity from our vows to love
and drew together in celebration
young in spirit and heart we began
our lives of collaboration

Will our love survive to that golden time
will your hand still reach out to find me
will we still note each glance, each touch
that guides us to our eternity

Or will we blink and loose the sight
of what was planned as love’s design
will we turn and walk away
from the world that is yours and mine

Perhaps the future is best unknown
each moment seen as a cherished token
that combined with our love will ever be
a bond that remains unbroken.

When does a memory become an heirloom
to be passed down from heart to soul
when all the beautiful tomorrows
become the yesterdays that make us whole

deVine one, you ARE a master of your trade. Very well done. Take care of the days, one by one, and the years will take care of themselves.

Poet deVine, eloquently expressed indeed...it can be so lovely to daydream of days gone by...*sigh*

Poet,
This must be one of your best yet! The visual format only added to this... Though, the poem is stong enough to stand on it's own. I truly enjoyed this poem...well done!!

Poet Most deVine: Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of work. I enjoyed all of it but particularly that of the last stanza. As for wanting to know the future; Do not seek knowledge of the future, for oft it will torture...stripping the blissful innocence of ignorance while vanquishing hope in life's uncertain game. That's all I got to say about that. Once again, a fine offering. Thanks
