There was a time I met a man. It was quite innocent, without plan. He stirred feelings deep from inside, With that, my true self could not hide. We'd talk for hours, or so it seems. I revealed to him my hopes and dreams. He listened to all I had to say As we grew closer everyday. But happy endings never come 'least not for me, perhaps for some. You see his heart, it was not free. He loved another as well as me. So here I sit with pen in hand To write about this loving man, Whose heart shall never truly be mine. Love came to us at the wrong time. |

Very sad........it does seem to happen that way too doesn't it? ------------------ "Nobody has measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold" ~Zelda Fitzgerald |
