I keep all my treasures
safe within my heart
But it's not because of what they cost
that gives them
so much measure
but the continuation
of these gifts
That really plays the part

It's the simple things
that mean so much
and bring me
so much pleasure
the priceless gift
with the loving touch,
that have earnt their place
with all my other treasures

You may be wondering to yourself
what are these gifts I talk of
so one by one
I'll take them out
and try to guide you
through them
Firstly, there is Caring
given one day at dawn

Followed by the Loving thoughts
with so much Time and Passion
The Hope, Trust and Wisdom
and Honesty never rationed
Smiling to myself
I've kept the best till last
how could my treasures be complete
without the HUGS and Laughter

I really enjoyed your poem. And I'm not just saying that cus you liked mine. we have 2 completely different moods of writing but i like yours.
