Life's not so simple, all ups and downs,
There's joys and sorrows, smiles and frowns.
I've had my share of both, but lately it seems,
The frowns and sorrow, encompass my dreams.

My friends and family are mostly all gone,
Memories of my past have haunted so long.
I ponder my life as I've reached middle age,
Do I want a final chapter..or to write another page?

Listen to experience, this message I send;
The most valuable things in your life,
From beginning to end;
Are the laughter and love, from family and friends.

Something to make us all think! Say what you need to say, and love those around you before it's too late.

What's this??? You're getting serious? Man! I woulda lost money on this bet!

Concerning your message of regret and realization: The middle aged part should tell you volumes... middle, as in half way... as in... as much to come as has passed already... as in, whatever time you may think you've lost, you have as much to yet spend... as in, you know what you have to do.... but, you already know that, don't you?
