In the early morning light my eyes took flight through clouds dark orange and rose with a pinch of sunlight. Higher and higher still I climbed for all the world to see, was mine. Amidst the velvety softness peace reigned. With a cloud for a pillow way too thin I looked within and there on a shelf of a wispy cloud she reposed. Such beauty I've never seen in all the earth let alone heaven. Grace and Mercy were there each side; wings folded not a whisper heard until I placed a Kiss upon Sweet Lips and now all Heaven cried. Of the dark and light of that Glorious Day as I turned to leave I heard her say For that Kiss won't you stay but alas; you are mortal I'm immortal one of us has to die to drink of the cup that none has dared to do again except; My heart knew the answer. ------------------ shadow eagle |
