Confession Frozen ice cube chilled expressions appear upon hearing a sadly startling confession Being from a dense forest of trees town he arose to approach us with a deep seated frown Broken English spoken from his foreign tongue yet the invaded victim he had become Clear pain filled tears dripped down his years of stubble grown face as he spoke extremely sad details of how he came to sit before us in this place She suffered painfully for ten sad years She could never awaken to greet the morning without creating overwhelming fears I tried in vain to make her smile each, and every pain bearing day her mind was just thousands of galaxy miles away Her dreams were nightmares in disguise All her demanding desires the past five years revolved around being united with the heavenly skies Now I plead my case to all of you before you make your judgment true look into my eyes and know... Wherever my everlasting days are spent I will always cherish her facial glow the minute she realized I let her go |

I had a bit of trouble with this one connecting the first stanza with the following two. But I must tell you, these four lines "I will always cherish her facial glow the minute she realized I let her go" ....they are priceless!!!! ------------------ "Nobody has measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold" ~Zelda Fitzgerald |

hoot_owl_rn: This is about a man who quietly took his wife's life, but it was found out so now he sits before his jury to decide his fate. Thank-you for your response, I hope my explanation helped you. |

I understood it perfectly, dreamer, and it was excellently told. |

It is sad to think that the only way to get relief in times of sickness is to leave this world.Well written. They say confession is good for the soul. |

An interesting composition...is it a plea or a cop-out? Since we do not know his fate...the issue remains in question. |

Balladeer: Thank- you very much. Delores: It is sad how many people do not want to go on, but the puzzling question is, do they or someone else have the right to take their life? Thank-You for your response. INclan: Good question, I kind of felt as writing this that he already had done his time, standing by, and trying to make his wife's life comfortable for 10 years. Then I also don't beleive in taking anothers life, so I guess it's left up to the imagination of the reader to decide. Thank-you for your response. |

I re-read this again after your explanation and wondered how I could have ever missed it the first time. Thanks for leading this blind soul down the path....smiles. Good work! ------------------ "Nobody has measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold" ~Zelda Fitzgerald |
