As I watch heaven walk away My eyes fill with tears, My soul pleads me to follow But my heart has long grown paranoid. Clouds once again fill the sky, Darkening the land before me, Just light enough to allow me to watch heaven go Yet dark enough to hide my tears Once again I close my eyes And dwell upon the image That has burned into my soul As my eyes close Sunlight breaks through its blanket and Tries to wake me from my daydream Angels surround me Silently pleading me to Open my eyes My heart hears their calls But has long ago stopped trusting The angels stop their calls And return from where they came Clouds cover the sun once more. Heaven listens for me to call her back but silence seals my fate. I open my eyes once more, I see heaven’s silhouette in the distance Her hair blowing in the wind, Her hand grasping that of another And my heart crawls back to it's cage To find the pieces that have once again broken away... ------------------ --------------------- ©1999 Guiltborn |

Very strong! Terrific imagry. I'm sure it's not a fair statement, but it comes to mind a saying "Heaven is a woman named Hell." |

r. baker33: thank you very much, even though it was my first, it still remains a reminder of my past inspirations. Thank you for your comments. Andrew Scott: I agree wholeheartedly with you quote, it says a lot about love. |

Wonderful, great descriptions. I will be looking for more from you. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "I will sail my vessel 'till the river runs dry, like a bird upon the wind, these waters are my sky..." Garth Brooks |
