SECRETLY TOLD I wait once again for this scene to begin, Directed by feeling's held somewhere within, This heart of a saint fights the urges of sin, It's all I can do, It's all I can do. I try to keep step with this long distance walk, The prospect of hearing your voice as we talk, The rain washes clean our two names in the chalk, Forever brand new, forever brand new. I stare at the light that is cast on my wall, The shadows await, should my gaze start to fall, The brightness you bring, helps me get through it all, Your feelings so true, your feelings so true. I bury a sigh, as the image lets go, I struggle to find what my words never show, I feel what I feel, and I always will know, I dwell within you, I dwell within you. Let time hold the secrets that others may find, Let all we believe in, not leave us behind, My eyes cannot see, yet this heart is not blind, Joy known by so few, joy known by so few. Ah, the joys of memory..... *grin* Sometimes the heart notices what the eye doesn't. (Inspiration. Being strong. Those things I noticed.) You must've worked very hard on this poem, I can tell.... |

I wish I'd written: "This heart of a saint fights the urges of sin" Great poem! Glad I went spelunking for this one! |
