Usually I've dreamt of a land far away -
Where a man would win my love,
and steal my heart away.
This stranger then, would take my hand,
and lead me to the shore -
That washes lonely tears away
And opens Heaven's door...

His voice is strong like thunder,
yet gentle as a breeze -
And with his eyes so dark & deep,
my every need he sees.
His smile is enough to chase -
all my blues away...
His touch is one of warm caress -
it carries me away.

To lose his love would be just like -
A nightmare with no end,
My tears would form a sea of grief -
no comfort could you send.
To live without him would be like -
a ship without a shore,
The winds would blow me endlessly...
I'd have nothing to live for.......

Glad you brought this to the top. Sometimes, as you know, when the forums are hopping, gems get pushed to the bottom unread. The title intrigued me! The poem is good, though no man is worth this - well, maybe one but he's spoken for!

OK, I am hereby permanently labeling myself as a nut with weird interests, but when I read your description of this dream man for some reason Frey, the Nordic god, sprang to mind...

Neat stuff ... as always.

pFF,
All I can say is
Some day he'll come along the man I love
And he'll be big and strong lalalala.
Good job I enjoyed the read.
